Something Odd in Activity Monitor? - Issue with battery

I had posted in the past about when I put my Macbook to sleep closing lid there has been 10-12% drop in battery in about 12 hours...thought that was odd.

Then yesterday, it was 2% in same period. So figured must be something to do with indexing being it is so new (1 week old today)

But then today, same thing...10% loss in 9 hours.

So I ran activity monitor and noticed something odd Kernel_task said it was running for almost 24 hours and was doing what appears to be, waking the machine. (20 idle wakeups)

I did install Fantastical yesterday so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it at all.

I have attached a pic (screenshot was too big to upload I guess) - Chrome was just turned on just now for me so wasn't running overnight...Of course, I used Mac in 2012, went away, and came back after my SurfaceBook was a total disaster and swore off MS forever so I am still getting back into the swing of things.

Uninstall CleanMyMac2. Inanition to it being a worthless scam, the copy on your Mac is not running properly. It is hung.

So I searched for that and it's not found...looked under applications and did a spotlight search.

I had two folders...Cleanmymac and Cleanmymac2...both were completely empty...no Cleanmymac3

I remember there being an option to download that version but I never did.

Not sure why it would be coming up

I removed the folders for CleanMyMac2 and CleanMyMac...I also emptied what was in trash since I think copies where there as well that I had not removed..

Not sure if that worked or not or how to tell but those programs are gone officially.

CleanMyMac puts it junk everywhere on your system. If you simple remove it by dragging it to the Trash then you failed to get all of the junk it installed removed. So the EtreCheck report is showing those bits and pieces. Try following the directions at http://macpaw.com/support/cleanmymac2/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac- 2 then post another EtreCheck report.

So the thing with those instructions is that I have already deleted it...I did NOT delete it using their suggested method but dragged it to trash

Now I am not sure how to get rid of those "bits and pieces" that are left over....?

Maybe reinstall it, then uninstall it the way they suggest...

Yes...it indicates uninstalling from Mac2 app itself..except that I don't have it any longer so those "pieces" they say are left behind by not installing it from the app are probably still there...Just curious as to how to get rid of those pieces if I don't have the app any longer?

I have heard of two possible alternatives. One is to reinstall CMM again and then uninstall it with the hope that it will find the pieces for you. The other alternative is to reformat the hard drive and install the operating system again. Then restore your apps and data.

Of course the first step is to backup everything prior to reformatting the hard drive.

Greeeat. Well, I've never had to reformat HD for a Mac so that is something I'll need to learn about..

I tried to reinstall the Mac2 program first...asked for my activation code (got it 2 years ago)...when I entered it all in, says something went wrong and wants me to download CleanMyMac3 to "upgrade".

Ok..before I go through that entire deal, I downloaded CleanMyMac3, and then used it to remove both CleanMyMac2 and CleanMyMac3...
